Wes is imho one of the best jazz guitarists ever.I have a couple of his recordings on vinyl ( but no turntable at the moment) from riversidelabel.never heard this cd so it will be quite a treat for me.thanks again for another outstanding post !
There's lot's of video of this group out there from the '65 tour. Great stuff, Wes wasn't used to large audiences as you hear here he keeps saying "Wow" at the end of tunes applause. Best Guitarist ever,
This is serious stuff from CD1 but unfortunately link to CD2 seem unworkable. Wes was something out of the theme books that seem to have vanished from the music scene, hope he is the chies in command of God's Grand Heaven Orchestra, will listen to Wes anytime. Thanx. repair link CD2 please.
